Checkered Calibration Board With Light Source

The grid calibration board with light source is a high-precision optical calibration tool that combines the traditional grid calibration board function with surface light source illumination technology. The core design concept is to provide accurate spatial reference benchmarks for machine vision systems through regularly arranged black and white checkered patterns, while also incorporating active light sources to provide a uniform and stable lighting environment, eliminating the impact of environmental light changes on imaging quality. Widely used in industrial camera calibration, lens distortion correction, electronic manufacturing precision inspection and other scenarios.

(1) Core scope of application;
Accuracy calibration and verification of 3D scanners, calibration of binocular stereo vision systems, calibration of structured light 3D reconstruction systems, establishment of spatial coordinates for photogrammetric systems, 3D vision positioning and grasping for robots, high-precision modeling for reverse engineering, calibration of industrial CT/non-destructive testing systems, and spatial calibration of multi camera arrays.
(2) Working principle:
The calibration board adopts a three-dimensional structure design (such as stepped,multi plane combination, etc.), and arranges high-precision feature point arrays on different spatial depth planes to provide known three-dimensional physical coordinate information for the visual system. The built-in active light source system provides uniform illumination for each depth plane, ensuring clear imaging of feature points on each layer. After the camera captures images of the multi view stereo calibration board, the algorithm extracts the three-dimensional spatial coordinates of feature points on each plane, establishes an accurate mapping relationship between the image pixel coordinate system and the world three-dimensional coordinate system, solves the internal and external parameters and spatial pose relationship of the multi camera system, and completes the calibration and spatial calibration of the three-dimensional vision system. The active light source design effectively solves the problem of difficult feature extraction in traditional 3D calibration boards under complex lighting conditions, significantly improving calibration repeatability and accuracy.
